County Commissioners
About the County Commission
Levy County has five County Commissioners that are elected at-large or
countywide. The Commissioners approve the county’s operating and capital budgets. The County Commissioners oversee all county departments including:

  • Development Department
  • Emergency Management
  • Emergency Medical Services
  • County Extension
  • Construction/Maintenance
  • Animal Services
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Recycling
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Mosquito Control
  • Veterans Service
  • Library
  • Planning

  • Nature Coast Transit
  • Code Enforcement

  • Human Resource

Regular meetings of the Board are open to the public and are held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of each month and then again two Tuesdays later. All regular Board Meetings begin at 9:00 a.m.  The meetings are held at the Levy County Courthouse in the County Commissioners’ Board Room. All special meetings of the Board are posted at the Courthouse and advertised in the local newspaper if time permits.
