The function of the Mosquito Control department is effectively controlled mosquitos in our county by reducing the maturation of larvae into adulthood to provide a source of control of mosquito numbers. This is accomplished by chemical and natural means of larviciding or source reduction of habitats and by chemical spraying for control of adults. We also inform the public of ways to prevent mosquitos from breeding around their homes.

Documents pertaining to help control mosquitoes that spread dengue, chikungunya, and Zika can be found on the CDC Website under Mosquito Control.
