Building Permit Procedures
All building permit applications for residential construction (site built or mobile home), commercial, and industrial will require a previously obtained Zoning Compliance Form from our Planning and Zoning Department. Please plan ahead to make sure it is obtained before your building permit application as the Permit Technicians will not be able to take the application without it. Not having it could delay your application by up to two weeks.  It can't be done the day you attempt to apply for a building permit.

How to obtain a Zoning Compliance Form:
Email with the heading "Zoning Compliance Form Request" or come into the office. They will send you a form to fill in basic information about your parcel. You can use the Property Appraiser's Website to assist you in filling this out.  Then, the Planning and Zoning Department will process your form and send you back the completed packet to bring to the Building Department.

If you are needing a Zoning Approval Letter for Commercial or industrial, we require a meeting to discuss the project to make sure all zoning requirements are met before using the Zoning Approval Letter.

Please note, it takes up to three weeks to obtain a Zoning Compliance Form based on current workload/backlog. Please plan ahead.
