Levy County Department of Public Safety is a comprehensive emergency response organization including medical services (EMS) and fire services for the citizens and visitors of Levy County.
Levy County EMS is the sole ambulance provider based in Levy County. The County EMS Fleet consists of seven Advanced Life Support (ALS) transport units operating out of stations located in key locations throughout the County. Each ALS transport crew consists of one EMT-Paramedic and one EMT-Basic, working a 24/48 schedule.
Levy County Fire Provide fire suppression to unincorporated areas of the County operating out of three active stations: Rosewood, Fowlers Bluff, and Morriston. Typically, these stations are staffed during daytime hours with volunteer coverage during the overnight hours.
The vision of the Levy County Department of Public Safety is to develop, manage, and operate a comprehensive emergency response organization to serve the citizens and visitors of Levy County, Florida. The Department will embrace new technologies and techniques, focusing on training and education to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction in a professional and caring manner.
It is the mission of the Levy County Department of Public Safety to preserve life and property, promote public safety, and foster economic growth through leadership, management, and actions as an all-risk life safety emergency response organization. This shall be accomplished through innovation, teamwork, and outstanding customer service with the prudent utilization of public funds provided by the community.
