Levy County Employee Benefits Overview

We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical & Prescription, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance and Retirement Benefits. 

If you are a new full-time employee enrolling in medical, dental, vision and life benefits, your benefits will begin after the waiting period.  Insurances are effective on the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment.  You will have 2 weeks from the date of hire to sign up for your benefit elections.  As an employee, you can make changes during the annual open enrollment.  During this time, your have the chance to review your benefits and make changes that meet your personal needs.  You may also make changes to your benefits during the year if you experience a qualifying life event such as marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child.  The County follows the criteria established by Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code to determine that a qualifying event has occurred.  You can then come forward to make the changes as long as you do this within 30 days of the qualifying event.
